LensCrafters — Island-Wide Retail Renovation Program
Innovation Company Group renovated four LensCrafters retail locations across Puerto Rico — Ponce Mall, Plaza Las Américas, Mayagüez and Luchetti — delivering brand-standard interiors, illuminated display systems and full electrical infrastructure on an occupied-mall schedule.
Overview
LensCrafters set out to bring its Puerto Rico stores up to current global brand standard. Innovation Company Group was brought in to execute the program across four locations — Ponce Mall, Plaza Las Américas, Mayagüez and Luchetti (Ponce) — handling both the architectural buildout and the electrical infrastructure behind it.
Each store had to be turned over retail-ready: brand-compliant finishes, precision-aligned illuminated frame walls, and a power and lighting system capable of carrying the new display load.
Scope of Work
Interior renovation Demolition of legacy fixtures and finishes, new partitions and ceiling systems, brand-standard millwork, mirror and glass installation, flooring, and final paint and detail work to the LensCrafters and Oakley design package.
Illuminated display systems Installation and alignment of backlit frame-display walls and Oakley feature walls, including LED driver layout, dimming control and color-temperature consistency across every panel — the detail customers notice first.
Lighting and electrical Track lighting layout and aiming, recessed and accent fixtures, plus complete branch-circuit distribution: new panelboards, EMT rough-in, dedicated circuits for display and POS systems, and fully labeled, code-compliant terminations ready for inspection.
Systems coordination Coordination with HVAC, fire alarm, sprinkler and low-voltage trades so ceiling devices, sensors and diffusers landed clean within the finished grid.
Execution
Every one of these stores sits inside an active shopping center. Work was sequenced around mall operating hours, with off-hours and overnight phases for demolition, deliveries and any noise- or dust-generating activity. Access routes, protection of adjacent tenants and daily jobsite cleanup were managed as part of the scope, not as an afterthought.
Running the four sites as a single program let the same crews, submittals and quality standards carry from one store to the next — shortening ramp-up at each new location and keeping finishes consistent island-wide.
Result
Four LensCrafters stores delivered on schedule, to brand standard, and passed for inspection — with lighting and display systems that put the product first and an electrical backbone documented for whoever services it next.
